Haofa Transmission Technology tells you how to avoid the problem of belt pulley being too tight

The European standard pulleys produced by Shanghai Haofa Transmission are highly favored by customers. However, many customers find it very difficult to disassemble the pulleys, which can easily damage them. Often, this is due to the installation of the pulleys being too tight, which can affect the normal operation of the equipment. So, how can we avoid the problem of pulleys being too tight? Haofa Transmission Technology tells you!
① Do not install the key first, use sandpaper to remove the burrs and rust on the groove surface. If the burrs are severe, use a file to repair them. Then, without installing the key, install the pulley onto the shaft. If it is too tight or cannot be installed, the shaft diameter and wheel hole should be checked. If the motor shaft is large, the motor can be powered on to rotate and pressed against the rotating shaft with a sandpaper (pay attention to safety), which is easy for repair electricians to achieve. This way of trimming evenly will not produce ellipses and is labor-saving. Then try reinstalling again, and apply lubricating oil to the shaft during each trial installation. The standard is that the pulley can be pushed in by hand or lightly driven in with a hammer, but there should be no looseness or gaps in the feel.
② Measure the depth dimension of the keyway, which should be greater than the thickness of the key. Otherwise, the thickness of the key should be filed thinner until the gap between the key and the bottom of the wheel groove is determined by the size of the shaft. Generally between 0.2~0.6mm (according to the key checking standard), when the key is inserted into the wheel hub, it should be able to slide slightly. If not possible, the burrs should be repaired or the cause identified for repair. Then, the key should be gently hammered into the shaft groove with a hammer, with a certain degree of tightness, so that it will not fall off when manually rotating the motor shaft. If it is too loose, the key needs to be replaced. And during assembly, lubricating oil should be evenly applied to the pulley holes, shafts, and keys.
